about vex:

Vex Theatre Company
is a non-profit, itinerant theatre company producing at will in the cities beyond Chicago, Illinois.

We don't produce often, but we do produce well.

In keeping with our name, we strive to challenge and move our audience by being daring, complex, and thoughtful in our choices. We view the "vexing" aspect of our mission as empowering our audience to use their imagination to interpret their reaction to our shows while encouraging debate and discussion about values and philosophies. It may not be the norm in suburban theatre, but we never were very normal.

Why VEX?

Hmmm.
Is it violence plus sex?

Or is it...

VEX (verb)
To trouble, afflict, or harass by aggression, encroachment, or other interference with peace and quiet.

YOU decide!
