VEX THEATRE COMPANY PARTICIPATES IN 2ND ANNUAL ELGIN WALKABOUT THEATRE FESTIVAL
Elgin, IL - Vex Theatre Company announces their participation in the 2nd Annual
Elgin Walkabout theatre festival in Elgin, IL. "Walkabout:
Theater On Your Feet" is sponsored by the Elgin Arts Commission and runs
Saturdays, August 1, 8, 15 and 22 in downtown Elgin. Call (847) 841-1713 to
reserve your spot. The starting location is the Elgin Public House, 219 East
Chicago Street. Participants will be guided to several locations in downtown
Elgin where local theatre companies will perform short theatrical works. The
theater walk ends at the "Alley of Art" featuring local artists and musicians.
Vex Theatre will be performing "Forever and Never,"
an original one-act play. This comic piece catches up with a famous fairy tale
couple years after their mythic happy ending. A reporter named Walt has come to
their castle on the invitation of the Wicked Stepmother. When it comes to love,
does the glass slipper still fit or will this couple be looking for a poisoned
apple? The shows stars Debbi Dennison (Schaumburg), Marc Jolley (South Elgin),
Geoffrey Maher (Palatine), and Cheryl Rice (Elmhurst). It is directed by Vex
founder Rich Geiger (Palatine). Peformances of "Forever and Never" will take
place at Villa Verone restaurant in downtown Elgin, one of the stops on the
Walkabout.

Walkabout: Theater On Your Feet runs Saturdays, August 1, 8, 15 and 22 in
downtown Elgin at 1 p.m.(tours every 20 minutes until 2:20 p.m.). Admission is
$14. The starting location is the Elgin Public House, 219 East Chicago Street.
Tickets can be purchased by paying cash only at the door. Call (847) 841-1713 to
